New York S/S 10: Shipley & Halmos
Clean, soft and fluid basics with the occassional graphic and structural piece thrown in to the mix. Again, we have a collection of well thought basics, very wearable and stylish. A bit of draping, ruching and cowled necklines and jackets added to the fluidity of the collection while graphic/computerised ankle grazers did the opposite while keeping a good balance. My favourite look was the shirtdress and blazer combo ehich was kept short at the front and had a longer back mimicking that of formal menswear. There were loose black dresses worn with loose cardigans and then short dark denim shorts worn with a loose buttoned up shirt. The juxtaposed collection worked very well.
