New York S/S 10: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Prints galore at Marc's. The trends flowed one after each other, the show was heavily influenced by african inspired prints, they were worn in bright colours so didn't feel as heavy as the tribal prints of A/W. The models had mini bunny ears as in LV. They added a touch of fun and quirkiness to the proceedings. There were other prints such as florals, spots, checks and stripes. What I really enjoyed about the collection was the clashing of prints and how well it worked together, it made the collection brighter and fun, which is to be expected from Marc. There were a lot of jumpsuits on show, in yellow tribal prints and large florals. Some of the high waisted shorts and shirt pairings were quite preppy. Some of the more dressed up pieces suhe electric blue bustier and cocktail dress looked stunning especially with the little draped detail. This show was everything you would expect and more from Marc by Marc Jacobs.
