New York S/S 10: Diane Von Furstenberg
Prints, prints and more prints at Diane Von Furstenberg. Animal prints were given the acid treatment, or mixed with egyptian inspired prints, a real visual treat. The swimwear was very glamorous especially with the bright printed cover ups. There was a very rich and warm colour palette, such as burnt oranges, deep browns and reds which were combined with a few acid brights and armfuls of bangles and handbags. Minus all of these the collection was quite wearable. The tiger print had a very good effect on the collection a nice step away from the usual leopard print. I liked the yellow structural dress with the shoet sleeved grey jersey t-shirt underneath which was seen on Sessilee Lopez. The egyptian and aztec influence really came across and set the mood as well as giving excellent additional details and transforming the collection.
