I <3 Lola's Cupcakes! Whenever I pop into Selfridges Food Hall which is quite often I have to pick one up or maybe two. I think I have tried literally all of their flavours... I haven't got around to the red velvet cake but I shall very soon.
When I stopped in their today I saw a beautiful rosewater cupcake (limited edition Sept 1-20).
Well, firstly it looks amazing, the icing is lovely and the rose petal on top is a nice touch. It smells really good too it reminds me of rose talc powder from M&S. The icing tastes like turkish delight, it isn't too sweet... perfect. The rose petal tastes of well...rose petals. Now onto the cake.... mmmmh! The sponge is moist, fluffly and has a delicate rose flavour throughout added with the icing wich has a more powerful flavour this cupcake is wonderful and has now become my no1 from Lola's... definately in cupcake heaven at the moment.
