New York S/S 10: Prabal Gurung

Gurung's collection greeted us with a display of classic, elegant and beautifully made pieces. The attention to detail really stands out and sets this collection apart from some of the others especially for a young designer. There were some pieces that really stood out and the great craftmanship really came through. I am a huge lover of bows so I was very glad that they were featured here, especially as small details on the bottom of a white ruched dress and also as the main feature of a white and black shirt. The royal blue dresses really stood out amongst the nudes and blacks as did the longer evening dresses. A very elegant and thoughtful collection.
