New York S/S 10: 3.1 Phillip Lim
Reinvented Basics was the look at Phillip Lim. Trouser suits were cropped and the jacket tucked into the trousers. Blazers were elongated and were sleeveless. The trousers and shorts were rolled at the waist which reminded me of my school days when we rolled our skirts at the waist 3 or 4 times to make them shorter. I loved the macs especially in grey and camel which were belted and had one large black button under the collar. There were sheer fabrics and soft pleating. The sequins added a touch of glamour to the collection. Overall, the collection was quite sporty in some ways but very wearable and stylish.
