New York S/S 10: Ruffian
The ladylike look at its best from Claude Morais and Brian Wolk. Military influences were used in sophisticated shift dresses in metallic blues and blacks as were the military jackets and shirts which were kept very straight and classic. Voluminous ruffles to skirts and blouse sleeves added flair and personality to the collection as did the picasso inspired prints seen in jacket lining and on dresses and blouses this added some quirkiness and modernity. I especially loved the sheer and spotted almost negligee dresses and blouses very feminine and sexily understated. There were also monochrome printed dresses with hints of pastel pinks to decorate. A very prim, proper and pretty collection from Ruffian.
