New York S/S 10: ADAM

Adam Lippes offered a very wearable and basic collection. Everything here was for a city girl going about her daily life, albeit a stylish city girl. There were a few references but not overtly obvious, such as a few tribal marked dresses here and there. A floral print was used frequently, quite liked it when worn with the heavy striped cardigan and peeking under the white playsuit. Sheer panelling on a few dresses were also seen here. The stand out pieces in this collection for me were the feathers, I liked the feather skirts and feather bandeau dress, the blue jumpsuit was nice, but the collection was nice but safe. Not very inspired, I am craving some excitement and theatrics...
