New York S/S 10: Rachel Roy
Tailoring was out first at Rachel Roy, mainly in a grey colour scheme. Knee length skirts with a high front slit, open striped, sheer blouses. Trouser suits, sexy charcoal wrap dresses and a sheer maxi with a bustier body seen underneath. Good tailoring with added detailing such as petal hems, subtle draping, and lots of décolletage on display. Then came a welcome splash of colour. Yellows, teals, fuschia's and deep blues all worked amongst each other and created something special when worn together. One of my favourite looks was the teal jacket, yellow top and fuschia skirt combo. Rachel Roy showed she can do colour just as well as elegant tailoring.
