New York Spring/Summer 2011: Mandy Coon

Mandy Coon showed a very well put together collection at NYFW. There was consistency throughout and little design details kept the collection flowing. I loved the use of tubing especially in belts with the flared leather skirt. The white dresses had a distressed quality with fraying hems and a white blazer/hotpant combo was crisp and laidback. There were some sheer touches here and there, it seems that there is a diaphanous feel in NYFW *trend alert*. The pieces also used colourful prints and pops of orange to brighten up the proceedings.
