New York Spring/Summer 2011: Jason Wu
There was a plethora of sheer and sexy blouses with perfectly cut trousers, at Jason Wu's latest outing. The combination of the two, formed some key pieces in the collection. Especially, the pussy bow blouses which were gorge. 40's style turbans proved to be the perfect accessories for the looks. The whole collection had a ladylike feel, bandeau dresses had an air of sophistication with tweed and the just above the knee length. Oversized and elongated blazer dresses showcased a new way to wear the wear the ever faithful boyfriend jacket. The dresses were just a delightful as the trousers, if not more so. There were shifts and swishes and a demure floral print. Ruffles and liquid draping were also detailed. The gowns were beautiful and the see through tops had an almost virginal effect as opposed to being a bit too risque. A very grown up and well thought through collection. I want it all.
