New York Spring/Summer 2011: Altuzarra

Conical busts and python strips... this is why so many love Joseph Altuzarra. Modernity was at the forefront of this collection, as well as sensuality, which this designer always offers. Slashed, thigh-high, satin dresses were an insight into what was to come next. Cleavage and conical busts were shown with form-fitting skirts that hugged every curve. Python shapes were the accents that revitalised some of the looks. The skin came in blazers, triangles, skirts and were used as subtle design details in some of the satin looks. There were many skin-tight shift dresses with python panelling. Some of the stand out looks were the closing floor-sweeping dresses, that captured the essence of Altuzarra and ended the collection perfectly.
