Giorgio Armani Privé: Paris Couture Week A/W 10

Soft femininity in shades of blush, nude and caramel were seen at the Armani Privé show. The fluid lines in these neutral tones enabled this feminine and luxurious mood. The flirty almost midi skirts gave a nod to the fifties as did the structured bags and gloves. This is all serving to cement the ladylike fifties trend for this Autumn. The draping and pleating shown was undeniably sophisticated, which followed through in the collection. I really liked the silhouette here which was juxtaposed with chunky jewellery and stones. The trousers were really strong and added to the ease. I loved the maxis and the evening gowns at the end, the shapes and tone of the pieces went really well with the first half of the collection. I imagine the stylists to the glitterati will be blocking the phone line to the PR's for the immediate future.
