Christian Dior: Paris Couture Week A/W 10

There is no denying the genius of Galliano. All you have to do is look at his latest offering. The definition of couture, should definitely include John Galliano. His couture has the ability to transport you into a bright, floral-induced, fashion fantasy. It is escapism in a bottle. The collection is immediately mood enhancing as soon as you take a glimpse at the first look. A tulip shaped dress oozing with ruffles and featuring the most divine of purples. The merging of colours in the collection was breathtaking, colours that are usually clashed for drama seemed to blend into each other effortlessly. Lilac, sky, black, tangerine and fuschia combined to create a wonderful look. I loved the floral theme of the collection, it showcased and destructed the flower, into shape, colour, texture and tone. The volume of the pieces worked well with ruffles and frills. Every look was truly individual and this show had the best use of colour that I have seen for many, many seasons. I have no idea what my favourite look was but I had my mouth open in amazement for pretty much all of them. The evening looks were perfection... that's all I can say.
