New York A/W 2010-11: Vena Cava
Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock showed a seventies influenced collection. With culottes, jumpsuits, jumpers and polo necks. I really enjoyed the collection, and how all the pieces came together perfectly. The aqua prints were gorgeous as were the floaty maxis with jumpers thrown over the top. I absolutely detest polo neck jumpers but I seem to be liking them thanks to Vena Cava. They worn under stunning bronze cocktail dresses and flowing maxi dresses. We mustn't complain as I definitely intend to be keeping myself warm next season, if this weather is anything to go by. Asymmetric, black, ruched, dresses also featured along with fishnets and sunglasses. The collection was quite dark but the cocktail dresses and prints brightened it up. The glimpses of fur also added a touch of luxury.
