Elie Saab: Paris Couture Week Autumn/Winter 2011-12

Men and fizzy drinks may give some ladies butterflies, but nope Elie Saab couture does the trick for me. Elie Saab perfectly exemplifies escapism and romance. This collection showed both of these in an understated and delicate way. The soft palette of ice blue and nude added to the light mood. The pieces were heavily embellished but in a way that didn't weigh down the pieces. Saab often offers looks that stop traffic, however this collection was breathtaking for its subtlety.
